The Handmade Tile Association Directory has been committed to educating our audience on different topics about tile and related fields. The HTA prints up to fire articles a year in the directory. Subject are open but not limited to; but should focus on tile related concepts, ex: Art, craft, copy right law, photography, tools, How to guides, history, styles, interesting facts. Each writer is asked to choose a topic that will draw upon one¹s skills and knowledge. Please review and inform the HTA that you will write an article for the current directory. Specifications: each writer will be given a half page column, 8” in height and 3.187 decimals in width. A 1-pt. black frame will be provided with a 1/4” margin. Font: AGaramond. Word limit: 350-375 if no image is included; 300-325 with one (or two) image, depending on size. Images will be printed in full color (send jpeg, slide or print). You may include your e-mail address if you want readers to contact you. We will be distributing 10,000 copies throughout the country, concentrating on the upper Midwest. A stipend of $100 is offered for articles chosen to be printed. If the HTA uses only on the web you will receive a $25 stipend. Due Date The Handmade Tile Association reserves the right to edit any submission for publication in the directory. All entries are not guaranteed to be published. Writers will not be paid unless the article is published in the directory or we use it on the web site. The HTA reserves the right to hold article for future use. If the HTA only uses the article on the HTA web site articles the writer will be paid $25. The articles will become property of the Handmade Tile Association.LLC and be may be used in other publications without consent of writer. All writers will be given credit for any use of the article written.
